Hudson River Lighthouses book (2019)
In 2019, the Hudson River Maritime Museum published Hudson River Lighthouses with Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series. The most comprehensive look at the Hudson River's lighthouses to date, the book covers the history of lighthouses from New York City to Troy and from the 1820s to the present.
Co-authored with assistance from the Hudson River Lighthouses Coalition, including the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society, the Saugerties Lighthouse Conservancy, the Save Esopus Lighthouse Commission, the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site, and Village of Sleepy Hollow Recreation and Parks Department, the book also received input from local historians, volunteer researchers at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, archivists, and more.
All proceeds from the sale of this book benefit the educational and preservation mission of the Hudson River Maritime Museum, which operates the Rondout Lighthouse and provides solar-powered boat access to the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse.
